I’m continuing to train at Shepperton in the week and this weekend there was a England training session at Bala in North Wales. Unfortunately circumstances prevented us attending. Luckily though we had the opportunity to go to Lee Valley instead – so a great Plan B. Two cold sessions there but good water………..brilliant.
I went up early on the 23rd to get some extra training but unfortunately all the rain had left the river really high and the slalom course was totally washed out. I managed to get some flat water training in, along with a gym session and a run. Saturday and Sunday was the same so more …

Cold and wet day on the way to the river this a.m. Well worth it though as The Thames gave it up this morning, absolutely love Shepperton when it’s like this! Big enough to get in a good, tough 1 and a half hours practice across the top and sides. Plenty of rolling going on …
